We started 'doing' Bed and Breakfast in 1997, so like to thinks we
are 'old hands' now and for many years previous to this worked in the
hospitality trade. Our house has a very inviting and welcoming
feel to it and we are constantly making improvements to make for a happy
relaxed stay.
We are passionate about local produce
and take a keen interest in achieving
environmental goals, sustainability being the key word. Jill
runs the B&B on her own and husband Arnaud Merrouche (previously of
Ballathie House Hotel and hospitality award winner from the scottish
hotel awards) has been known to cut the grass occasionally.
Gilmore House is a delightful, charming, traditional, detached Victorian home, built in 1899. the house is deceptively spacious and is decorated in rich warm fabrics and furnishings with original pitch pine doors and staircase.
Two beautiful lounges for guests exclusive use. The downstairs
lounge is traditionally decorated and has a huge conservatory style window
with window seat, deep comfy sofas and plenty of reading material. The
mid-level upstairs lounge has an extremely comfortable 3 piece suite, superb
views (watch the birds and the stunning sunsets) and a vast array of
information to help you plan your days out. There is also a selection
of board games and cards.
Three modern comfortable en-suite bedrooms.
A beautiful dining-room over-looking the front garden.
Private Parking.
We are always happy to help and assist in any way and equally we will not
bother you if you want peace and quiet.
